Santo Domingo- Industry and Commerce called Minister Manuel Garcia Arevalo on Wednesday asked all sectors involved in the marketing of propane gas to meet Tuesday to discuss the views and seek solutions which all can agree on.

The official also asked the owners of propane gas station which suspended their services to reopen and avert jeopardizing households and passenger transport. "What’s most important is to table a dialogue to find reasonable solutions to any difference, for that reason I am calling on all sectors involved with the issue of propane gas to meet Tuesday and seek consensus and friendly solutions."

In a statement Garcia said the suspension of the sale of propane affects the economy and Dominican households and the public transport which requires that fuel. "That suspension of the retail service of liquefied gas must be lifted for the reasons given above, plus the fact that there's a willingness to discuss and reach a friendly consensus.”

We will sell the gas by volume and not by weight. The hell with what other countries do, we are the Dominican Republic and ripping people off is inbred in our blood. Just look at our politicians and our drug cartels.
