I met and bumped into the grandson Ramfis Dominguez, (the guy on the right) quite a few times over the years at various social functions. He never identified himself as a relative of Trujillo. I did notice how he was always evasive, never went into any personal detail about his background. As a matter of courtesy, I never pressed the issue either. He would talk about himself only as a fellow Dominican and nothing beyond that. It was not until his mother came out with the book and the family went public did I finally realize who he was. I was not surprised at all to learn about his identity. I knew there was something fishy about him, but could never pin point the reason, but now I know why. Nevertheless, I expect to see him again some time time in October or September, I just do not know how to approach him. I can only describe him as educated, courtenous, polite, and affable person. I really have nothing negative to say about him. He seemed like a normal, well adjusted individual, in fact I would consider him to be some what down to earth, no airs of superiority and I could dare say he is superficially "simpatico." You know, the kind of friendly manner most store clerks have when you patronize a store. They could care less, about you or me, but they were trained to be nice, because it is good for business. Although it does not seem that way, maybe the family is short of cash, running out of grandpa's money and he was simply getting ready to come out in the open and sell me the book. I would never "take it easy" on that criminal family, with cursed gene pool. The "pretty things", now living a life of luxury over the dead bodies of thousands of Dominicans, should be damned, and prodded to renounce their past and ask for public forgiveness. You hit it right in the center, most Dominicans have a short memory, but not me. "Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand". Mark Twain |

I don't think ANY of his relatives should be made to pay for what that KILLER did......... but the way they go around praising that cabron, it makes me believe they condone what he did........and if they condone it, they are as sick as that bastard was. That idiot one the right, L. Ramfis Dominguez Trujillo, wouldn't stop talking nonsense about his grandfather on a documentary I saw, "Trujillo: 30 Anos De Historia Perdida"..........I actually thought he had a few orgasms when praising that ASESINO. If they had any decency, they would distance themselves from that beast. Edited on 6/13/2011 1:28 PM by TuPapaupa. I am "An Army Of One" ![]() Come Get Some!!. |

Thanks for sharing this anecdote, says a lot about them and yourself. Well, thanks.......but do realize it was before I knew who he was. I am not exactly sure how I feel now. It will be awkward for me if I see him again, like how do I react, do I punch him in the face or do I act as though I know nothing? I question his failure to identify himself sooner. Can we detect a certain level cowardice or embarrasment on his behalf? I mean to be the grandson of the worse dictator in modern history is nothing to be proud about. But then again the family did come out to boast the "meritorious" accomplishments of El Jefe. Why now and not then? It does confuse things to see how Ramfis Dominguez become one of the most vocal Trujillo clan members while before he hid like a mouse. Anyway, it will be interesting to see what is behind it all. What motivated the family to write a book and make an attempt to cleanse the image of the former dictator. Edited on 6/13/2011 4:15 PM by guillermone. |
