Neiba, Bahoruco.- Several cases of malaria have been detected in Uvilla in Tamayo, provoking concern among local residents. In response, the Provincial Health Board has launched a preventive campaign against the disease.
Health officials have expressed their concern at the community’s vulnerability as several people have been affected.
The measures include fumigation of mosquitoes that transmit malaria and advice for relatives of those affected. Local residents expressed their appreciation for the Health Ministry efforts.
