Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) predicts widely scattered showers and thunderstorms, mostly for the Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area.

It said temperatures could reach as high as 36 degrees Celsius, for which Onamet recommends drinking plenty of fluids.

It adds that higher than normal waves continue along the Atlantic and Caribbean coasts, for which small craft should remain near the coast.
