Minister: 2014 was a good year for Dominican education system

Santo Domingo.– Education minister Carlos Amarante Baret said 2014 was good for the Dominican education system, with solid progress in all areas, especially the goal of President Danilo Medina to deliver the first ten thousand new classrooms, which was achieved before the year ends.

"When we started 2014 we said that this was going to be a year of glory for the Dominican education, and the truth is that we have advanced in all areas," said the minister during the last meeting of the National Council for Education.

"The challenges we face are huge but the important thing is that we feel we are going forward, we’re not stuck," Amarante pointed out.
