Dominican ambassador to Canada presents credentials

Ottawa.– During an official ceremony inRideau Hall, Ottawa, Dominican ambassador to Canada Virgilio Alcantara presented his credentials to the GovernorGeneral David Johnston.

Alcantara said he will seek to strengthen bilateral ties in all areas of foreign policy, such as promoting and strengthening democracy, promoting human rights, sustainable development and full respect for international law.

Johnston, representing Queen Elizabeth II, also received credentials from four other diplomats: Guatemala, Vatican City, Cyprus and Uzbekistan.
