No changes to the Constitution, Santiago archbishop says

Santiago.- Santiago archbishop Ramon Benito de la Rosa y Carpio on Thursday expressed his hopes that the Dominican Constitution could "sleep" for a long time without changes.

The prelate issued that opinion when asked about the possibility to submit new changes to the Constitution in order to allow the reelection of president Danilo Medina Sanchez, of the governing Dominican Liberation Party.

"I hope that for some time the Dominican constitution can be left as it is today," de la Rosa said bluntly.
