Access to decent housing a major challenge for Dominicans

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina inaugurated Tuesday the construction of the first stage of Juan Bosch City in Santo Domingo East, next to the Las Americas highway, a public-private project with 25,000 low-cost homes, to be built with funds provided under the Trust Law.

During the ceremony the henad of State said access to decent housing is a major challenge for Dominicans and mortgage payment is still too high to afford, the presidency website reported.

Medina defined these two years of administration as 24 months of hard work and many accomplishments. He also admitted there are still two years ahead, which means he will not take a rest, but will continue to work with dedication and commitment.
