Water shortages to affect over 120 sectors in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo.– The Santo Domingo water utility (CAASD) announced that due to a "large scale" fault, the left line of treated water of Valdesia dam will close for five days, which will affect the water supply in more than 120 sectors in the National District and Santo Domingo West, from Thursday 22 to Monday 26 January.

Among the sectors most affected by the water deficit will be Herrera, Ensanche Quisqueya, Serralles, Los Prados, Mirador Sur, Naco, Jardines del Norte, Miraflores, San Juan Bosco, Plaza de la Cultura, Respaldo Aguedita and Ensanche Lugo.

Also Primavera, Ciudad Nueva, San Carlos, Villa Francisca, Atarazana, San Miguel, San Lazaro, Zona Colonial, San Anton, El Huacal, Hospital Padre Billini, Los Prados, Ensanche Paraiso, Centro Olimpico, Hospital FF. AA., El Vergel, La Esperilla, La Julia, Seminario, Piantini, Evaristo Morales, Los Millones, Los Restauradores and Manganagua.
