Japanese families in Yamasa recieve titles from agrarian authorities

Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD) under President Danilo Medina’s instructions, delivered provisional land titles to eight Japanese families in Sabana de Payabo, Yamasá, who own 343 hectares.

IAD director Emilio Toribio said that this donation is a commitment of the government and the Japanese government for the support offered to the institution in the process of modernization, training and production.

Japan’s Ambassador in the country Takashi Fuchigami thanked the IAD for its collaboration in the process of helping the Japanese families obtain their land. He also encouraged the beneficiaries to make these farms productive and continue the legal process to achieve the ultimate degree.
