Corpus Christi services held around the country today

Santo Domingo.- On occasion of celebrating Corpus Christi today, May 26, several denominations will hold special services around the Dominican Republic.

As a national holiday, all government, professional and commercial activities are shutdown, with the capital city’s streets having extremely low traffic.

The Labor Ministry on Wednesday reminded that Law 139-97 establishes Corpus Christi as a national holiday in which workers get the day off.
