Santo Domingo.- A north-northeast wind will bring scattered showers over the central valley and northeastern coast, the National Weather Office (Onamet) forecast Wednesday.

It said there's little chance of rainfall over the south and southwest and will continue through Friday.

"As for the maritime conditions, they remain dangerous on the Atlantic coast so the recommendation for the fragile and small boats to remain in port continues," Onamet said.

It also warns of high surf along the Caribbean coast and in Samana Bay, adding that temperatures for most of the country will range from a low of 17ºC, to a high of 29ºC.
