London.– Dominican boxer Junior Castillo Martinez was defeated (13-6) by Great Britain's Anthony Ogogo in the Men's Middle (75kg) Round of 32 Bout 1 boxing match at ExCeL venue during the London 2012 Olympic Games July 28.

Ogogo took the fight to the Dominican in the first round and had established a 3-2 lead by the end of the three minutes. The Brit's work rate in the second round, and a crisp right hand, saw him stretch his advantage to five points. The 23-year-old found the target with a few nice shots in the last round as well, and the judges awarded him a 13-6 victory.

Five of Ogogo’s 10 team-mates were given byes, while super-heavyweight Anthony Joshua, who has been seeded second, will face Cuban legend Felix Savon’s nephew ­Erislandy Savon Cotilla.

We have to train hard all year long. Playing dominoes and drinking Presidente won't help. United States athletes train very hard all year long. We should do the same and not procrastinate until the the last date.
