New York.– Atlanta pitcher Darrel Leiva, a member of the Dominican Summer League Braves, tested positive for metabolites of Nandrolone and metabolites of Stanozolol, and has been suspended for 50 games.
According to Major League Basebal, Philadelphia pitcher Gabriel Bermudez, who is on the Venezuelan Summer League Phillies, has also been suspended following positive tests under the minor league drug program. He tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.
Under the minor league program there have been 68 suspensions this year, including 10 this week, and three under the major league plan.
