Agents seize US$1.0M, nab 2 Chinese, one Colombian

Santo Domingo.- Antinarcotics (DNCD) agents and the Justice Ministry, on Thurs. seized US$999,800.00 from two Chinese and one Colombian citizens during an alleged drug deal in a shopping plaza parking lot on 27 de Febrero Av.

The detainees will be arraigned in the next few hours.

Also seized were a SUV and a car.

The DNCD is reportedly looking for other persons of interest in connection with the drug transaction.

The authorities believe the detainees form part of an international drug trafficking and money laundering network that operates in other countries, including the United States and South American nations.
