Haitians hurt immigration agents in Dominican Republic

Santiago.- At least two Immigration inspectors were injured when attacked with stones and clubs by undocumented Haitians during an operation in sectors of the city’s north zone.

The Police, together with Immigration, are looking for a Haitian national who allegedly headed the aggression.

Many of the immigrants reacted annoyed when they saw the immigration agents and staged a confrontation.

One of the inspectors was hurt after falling and was kicked by an immigrant who managed to escape.

At least two vehicles that were in the area resulted with considerable damage to their windshields from hurled stones.
