Dominicans look for gold in Colombia Games

Barranquilla, Colombia.- Dominican Republic on Fri. will look to put the country’s name in the medals tally in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games.

The favorite athletes to win medals in these games come from a wide range of sports, among them weightlifting, taekwondo and gymnastics, with several athletes aim to step on the podium today.

Friday will also open competition on the second day of swimming, rowig, modern pentathlon and sailing among others.

Also on Friday is the start of women’s volleyball, baseball, handball, field hockey and softball tournaments.
