Court orders regional bus depot construction halted

Santo Domingo Este.- The Superior Administrative Court on Mon. ordered the Public Works Ministry to halt construction a bus depot at Mirador del Este park, and set a hearing to review a restraining order on Monday.

Panel judges Carmen Canaán, Franklin Concepción and Claudia Peña, set for 10am Mon. the continuation of the lawsuit that seeks to halt the construction of the bus depot to served the provinces of the East region, with which the authorities seek to prevent them from entering the National Distinct.

The court also ordered the Public Works Ministry to provide the soil use study and environmental impact study conducted at the site.

At the hearing, the Solicitor of the Arbitration Court opposed the halt to construction of the work.
