10 towns cut off as storm’s remnants drench country

Santo Domingo.- The downpours  over the weekend prompted the Emergency Operations Center (COE) on Sun. maintained 17 provinces on flash flooding and mudslide alerts.

The rains from the remnants of Tropical Storm Isaac resulted in flooded homes, people evacuated and 10 towns cut off.

In a press conference the COE warned of possible urban and rural flash floods, swelled rivers and streams, as well as landslides.
