Santo Domingo’s Sans Souci port gets environmental kudos

Santo Domingo.- Sans Souci port in the Dominican capital was selected as a finalist in the environmental initiative category in the cruise industry’s most important award, Seatrade Cruise.

Sans Souci has been nominated after the company installed solar panels and other environment-friendly elements in Don Diego terminal.

Other countries whose ports were nominated include the United Arab Emirates, Colombia, Spain, Norway and Australia.

Sans Souci Ports CEO Lisandro Macarrulla said the nomination at the Seatrade Cruise awards positions Santo Domingo’s port as a responsible and environment-friendly facility.
