Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic authorities deported or prevented the entry during September, of 11,453 foreigners in an irregular migratory situation or who failed to comply with migratory laws, the Immigration Directorate (DGM) reported on Fri.
“Of the 11,453 foreigners, 7,102 were not admitted when they tried to enter the country, while 4,351 foreigners from Colombia, Spain, Haiti, Italy, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Russia, Romania and Venezuela were deported,” the DGM said in a statement.
As to migratory movements through national airports, the DGM said it registered 412,241 entries and 510,078 departures at Punta Cana International Airport, La Altagracia province (east), making it the terminal with the highest number of passengers.
