Medina flips the switch on controversial power plant

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Thurs. headed the first test run on the steam boiler of a generator of the Punta Catalina coal-fired power plant, “a sovereign triumph of the Dominican Republic that will significantly improve the energy service.”

The media were not invited to the activity at the 752-megawatt facility located in southern Peravia province.
