Santo Domingo.- Leaders of the Green March on Tuesday asked Congress’ response to a resolution submitted to the Chamber of Deputies requesting president Danilo Medina’s impeachment.

“The Green March came to investigate the statutes of the motion for resolution, a document delivered 10 months ago, for the Chamber of Deputies to proceed with the impeachment,” said Carlos Briceño.

Johnathan Liriano said despite that the request was submitted by the deputies Fidelio Despradel and Fidel Santana on July 25. “We have yet to have any news about the status.”

Briceño said the citizens are waiting for Congress to play its role. “It is they who have the constitutional power to challenge the president for the serious accusations.”
