Santo Domingo.- Human rights in the Dominican Republic “go very badly,” according to the annual report being drafted by the National Human Rights Commission, to be released December 10.
Manuel María Mercedes, president of the entity, said the data in the Technical Commission’s report on International Human Rights Day, “will leave the Government very badly in terms of human rights,”
Interviewed on CDN Channel 37, Mercedes said the country has suffered a setback “in all aspects of the word.”
Mercedes said Dominican society should enjoy its rights within the framework of international conventions, covenants and the Constitution.
