CEMEX Dominicana preservation program gets kudos

Santo Domingo.- CEMEX Dominicana was recently awarded a recognition in the category “Reptile and Amphibian Project” of the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC), in Baltimore, Maryland.

The company, in partnership with Grupo Jaragua and Birdlife International, started the Action Plan for Biodiversity Las Salinas and Laguna Cabral since 2013, with the main objective of conserving the fauna and flora that thrive in those ecosystems.

“The components of the Plan seek the conservation of the rhino iguana in Laguna Cabral and the restoration of Río Lemba,” CEMEX Dominicana said in a statement.
