Press Association taps hard-hitting Dominican journalist

Santo Domingo.- Dominican journalist Nuria Piera was selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA) until 2019.

According to outlet Diario Libre, the IAPA chose Piera after a vote taken during the 74th General Assembly in Salta, Argentina, which sought to fill a vacancy in the Board of Directors of that organization.

“Congratulations and we look forward to working with you on the interesting annual agenda for the defense of press freedom in the Americas,” IAPA executive director Ricardo Trostti told Piera, a hard-hitting investigative journalist.
