Odebrecth US$94.0M graft trial resumes Jan. 23

Santo Domingo.- The hearing in the trial against seven charged with taking US$94.0 million in bribes from the construction company Odebrecth was recessed until January by Supreme Court Instruction judge Francisco Ortega.

The hearing in the case against Andrés Bautista, Víctor Díaz Rúa, Ángel Rondón, Conrado Pittaluga, Roberto Rodríguez, Jesús Vásquez and senator Tommy Galán, will resume on January 23.

Ortega justified the postponement of the hearing on the Odebrecht case citing the yearend holidays.
