Over 900 undocumented Haitians detained in nationwide raids

Santo Domingo.-  Immigration inspectors have detained 960 undocumented Haitians in nine provinces and Greater Santo Domingo, as part of its continuous interdiction operations throughout the country.

The raids included various sectors in Azua, Duarte, Espaillat, La Vega, Monte Plata, Montecristi, Santiago, Puerto Plata and Valverde provinces, the National District and the municipalities of Santo Domingo Norte and Este.

In a statement issued Wed., Immigration said inspectors and agents participated in the operations with the support of Dominican military personnel and Justice Ministry officials in those provinces and towns.
