Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Fri. convened the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies to debate pending legislation, especially the Electoral Regime Law, as well as any other bills submitted.
Executive Order 19-19 is in effect for 30 days starting January 14.
In its announcement the Presidency notes convening the extraordinary legislature is based on the “important bills of public interest in the chambers that require debate and decision by Congress.”
