Spanish, Dominican leaders pact stronger ties

Santo Domingo.- The presidents of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, and of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, on Tues. agreed on a Joint Work Group to promote trade, investments and the productive chain.

During a National Palace ceremony the leaders issued a statement praising Dominican Republic-Spain ties “whic are at an excellent level covering the most diverse areas and are committed to continue working to deepen and expand cooperation between both countries.

“Upon just having turned 30 years of the presence of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation in the Dominican Republic, the two Presidents proceeded to sign the new Country Partnership Framework, which defines the strategic lines to be developed by Spanish Cooperation in the Dominican Republic in the coming years, supporting the efforts that the country itself is leading, according to the road map marked by the National Development Strategy,” they said.
