Export Bank US$20M in loans target SMEs

Santo Domingo.- The National Export Bank (Bandex) on Thurs. announced that it seeks to lend RD$1.0 billion (US$20 million) to the export sector this year, with the SMEs account for the bulk of its customers.

In a meeting with journalists, Bandex CEO Guarocuya Félix, affirmed that the amount could be more, but will depend on the demand they receive during the year.

He also stressed that Bandex’s liquidity exceeds liabilities by 103%. “That is to say, we have more liquidity than the deposits we have.”
