'Kit' plane crashed near Boca de Yuma.
Santo Domingo.- National Drugs Control Directorate (DNCD) president Félix Alburquerque, revealed Mon. that drug traffickers have aeronautical engineers who build aircraft for the transfer of drugs.
The official cited the case of the small-scale plane that crashed Jan. 23 in San Rafael del Yuma, eastern La Altagracia province, which he affirms was being tested by drug traffickers in that area. “The drug traffickers were doing a pilot test. This plane arrived and crashed. We had the alert, but we were too late.”
Interviewed on Hoy Mismo Alburquerque said that type of aircraft, which is used by a cartel that operates in Venezuela’s jungles, can be dismantled and transported easily in the bed of a truck.
