Santo Domingo’s Carnival Parade set for Feb. 24

Santo Domingo.- Mayor David Collado on Wed. announced the celebration of Santo Domingo’s Carnival Parade on Sunday February 24, with more than 100 floats, dozens of troupes and individual characters representing the barrios and sectors of the capital.

Collado said society personalities will form a jury for a contest featuring RD$1.3 million in prizes.

This year the Carnival queen will be Grey Emilia Jiménez and the king will be Carlos Ventura.
