Frontier inaugurates Orlando-Punta Cana direct flight

Santo Domingo.- Frontier Airlines on Thurs. announced a new Orlando – Punta Cana direct flight, Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays on an Airbus A320, with a capacity of 186 passengers.

Raquel Reyes, Tourism Ministry Promotion Office director in Orlando, Florida, said the flight represents a great achievement for the Dominican Republic, “because it’s the only direct service from the center of Florida to Punta Cana.”

She said it will also draw more tourists from Orlando, with 29,016 seats available each year.

On the maiden flight from Orlando, 171 passengers and 6 crew arrived at Punta Cana, according to Frontier Dominican Republic manager Philippa Richards.
