Enduro-Off Road rally aims to retrace Puerto Plata’s history

Santo Domingo. – The Enduro and Off Road Ride event will be staged at the archaeological site of Villa Isabela to retrace Puerto Plata’s history, as part of the third annual “Discovery Route 2019” next Saturday when over 250 competitors will be greeted with a gala dinner.

The rally is set to start 10am Sunday from the Sand Bay Punta Rusia Hotel and will cover some 50 miles on Route A and 93 miles on Route B. ATV and UTV Routes will be divided into five categories.

Off Road lovers will be trekking through more than 25 villages and towns in the scenic ​​Puerto Plata-Isabela-Montecristi region and the Northern Range.

Also on the route are the Soliman mountains and the pass at Los Hidalgos and Mamey.

All routes cross the town of Estero Hondo to reach the designated finish line at Punta Rusia.
