Puerto Plata gets 326K of the 636K cruise ship tourists in first 4 months

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic has received 636,578 cruise ship visitors, of which 326,825, have arrived in the northern city of Puerto Plata, according to the Tourism Ministry.

It said the second destination of the cruise passengers in that period was La Romana (east) with 234,608 visitors, while Samaná (northeast) drew 38,021 tourists by sea.

Tourism added that the port at Cap Cana, La Altagracia province (east), received 24,468 cruise passengers, while the port of Sans Soucí, in Santo Domingo, hosted 17 ships with 22,897 tourists between January and April.
