North coast city to host National Coconut Festival

Santo Domingo.- The planting and sustainability of traditional coconut farming in the country is essential to preserve the tourism sector, taking into account that coconut trees are the image of the country’s idyllic beaches.

The statement is from the of the Second National Coconut Festival, in Nagua (north) starting July 24, with the participation of more than 30 organizations.

“The public that attends the activity will be able to enjoy and acquire more than 60 byproducts that are extracted from the coconut, such as oil, flour, juice, water, shell, cosmetics, fertilizers, liquors, crafts, stimulants and medicines, among others.”
