Altice installs 100 Wi-Fi spots of 600 planned

Santo Domingo .- Altice Dominicana on Monday announced the installation of 100 additional Wi-Fi spots across the country, as part of an agreement with the State to narrow the digital divide and to increase Web access for Dominicans.

With the authorization of the new points, the telecom reiterates its commitment with the Dominican Telecom Institute (Indotel) and the Digital Republic project in 2018 to place 600 Wi-Fi spots throughout the national territory by 2020

“Altice is the company that is contributing the most Wi-Fi points in the country, and with the commissioning of the 100 new points it has installed a total of 364 points from different locations to date, generating a great social impact in the benefited areas,” the company said in a press release.
