Agro chief takes assistance to dairy farms in the South

Barahona, Dominican Republic.- Agriculture minister, Osmar Benítez on Fri. headed the relaunch of the ” National Livestock Improvement Program” in the southern region, to develop healthy nutrition and feed, reproduction and genetics, infrastructure and marketing.

Benítez delivered tools for milking and milk transport, among them drums, kits with buckets with hose and dispenser to wash udders, colanders and other items to seven associations of the province, as well as Bahoruco, Independencia and Pedernales, Agriculture said in a statement

“The Minister also handed out a check for RD$3.4 million to the Cooperativa Agropecuaria y Servicios Múltiples El Limón de Jimaní to purchase several water pumps to improve irrigation in the communities of the provinces.
