Thunderstorms will occur Tuesday in the Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountain regions

The National Office of Meteorology (Onamet) predicted that local showers will be recorded today, with electrical storms and wind gusts on the Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountain regions due to the incidence of a trough and a tropical wave.

It predicts that the temperatures will continue to remain high due to the hot and humid wind of the east/southeast and the time of the year, so the recommendation remains that the population drink enough liquids, wear light clothes and avoid sun exposure for prolonged periods of time from 11:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon.
In Santo Domingo province it will be cloudy with local thunderstorms.

While in the National District will be partly cloudy with intermittent downpours and thunderstorms.
Tomorrow, Wednesday will be cloudy with some isolated showers in the afternoon towards focalized points of the Central Mountain Range and Los Haitises.

Last night there were some downpours and thunderstorms in the provinces of the Northeast region and Los Haitises.
The day produced light cloud cover with some isolated showers in the afternoon in focal points such as the provinces of Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, and Samaná, conditions that prevailed until the early hours of the night, with some downpours and lightning.
