US, Dominican drug czars pledge continued cooperation

Santo Domingo.- US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), administrator Uttam Dhillon, on Thurs. visited National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) president Felix Alburquerque, to discuss topics related to drug trafficking, organized crime, money laundering and related issues.

In a statement the DNCD said Dhillon reiterated the US commitment to cooperation with the Dominican Republic to pursue, combat and punish the illicit drug trafficking in the region.

“The administrator of the DEA, affirmed that the collaboration between both countries is vital to continue confronting transnational crime and drug trafficking together, crimes that affect both Americans and Dominicans.”
