Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Tourism Press Association (ADOMPRETUR) on Sunday proposed a national crusade to save the Salto del Limón waterfalls, a natural monument that has become one of the most emblematic tourist attractions in the country’s Northeast.
The journalists announced a meeting with environmental technicians, community leaders and communicators who have closely followed the problem to propose multidisciplinary actions aimed at reversing the critical water shortage that affects the area and the popular swimming hole.
Santo Domingo State University Environmental Academy coordinator, Luis Carvajal, will hold a press conference accompanied by environmentalist Lisette Gil; the journalist Salvador Batista and the communicator and environmentalist Miosotis Bautista, in addition to a commission of community leaders from El Limón township.
