High court rejects appeal by Odebrecht bribes case defendants

A. Bautista.

Santo Domingo.- Supreme Court chief justice, Luis Henry Molina, on Mon. ruled against several appeals filed by Andrés Bautista and Conrado Pittaluga, charged with taking bribes from Odebrecht.

Molina rejected the appeals of the two defendants, labeling the motions as unlawful.

Pittaluga’s defense supported his appeal alleging “denaturalization of the facts and procedural actions” and “violation of a precedent, jurisprudentially constant of that Supreme Court,” but Molina rejected it “for lacking grounds capable of justifying the modification or revocation of the decision under appeal.”
