Environment, business giant agree to protect the ozone layer

Santo Domingo.-  The Environment Ministry and the major business group Ramos, on Mon. signed an agreement, to conserve, improve, restore and make sustainable use of natural resources to protect the ozone layer and decrease its deterioration.

The agreement would eliminate environmentally harmful production and consumption patterns, implement best practices and processes that facilitate the proper management of products and services.

In a statement, Environment minister, Ángel Estévez, praised the integration of Grupo Ramos to promote preservation and care of the ozone layer, as well as assume the commitment to reduce the emission of gases that deteriorate it and represent a threat to the ozone sphere. “The alliance marks the celebration of the “International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.”
