Foreign tourist arrivals fall a 3rd straight month

Santo Domingo.- For the third consecutive month, the influx of foreign tourists decreased, reaching a cumulative inter-annual rate of 2.8% for the January-September 2019 period.

In absolute values, that means that in the first nine months this year, the number of foreign tourists who visited the country until September, is 121,216 vacationers fewer, compared to the number of foreign visitors to September 2018.

The figures are posted in the last monthly report on the tourist flow disclosed by the Central Bank, which corresponds to the January-September period this year.
