Evidence reveals fraud in dominican primaries: Ex-president

Santo Domingo.- After listing what he considers new evidence to support his complaint of fraud in the primary, former president Leonel Fernández on Mon. protested with his followers in front of the Central Electoral Board (JCE), where he warned “that when the obstacle is democratic access to power, the response of the peoples is revolution.”

“We do not want to reach these extremes, Dominican society wants peace, tranquility, but it is important that political crime gives rise to seriousness and that, consequently, an investigation will clarify everything that has happened,” he said.

Fernández demanded that a forensic audit be carried out on the automated voting equipment used in the voting processes, and said that silence will not be taken as an answer.
