L. Fernandez. File

Santo Domingo.-  A group of ruling party (PLD) leaders on Tuesday “firmly repudiated the attitude of those who were losers (in the past primary) and have not accepted the will of the majority, making unfounded accusations of electoral fraud, projecting a totally artificial crisis situation just because they did not want to accept the verdict of the electorate.”

Francisco Javier García, who served as a spokesperson members of the Political Committee, said he spoke on behalf of more than 70% of the members of that PLD’s top echelon.

”In every electoral contest one will win or lose and that one must know how to accept defeat with humility,” the official said, in reference to former president Leonel Fernandez, who has challenged the outcome of the PLD primary.
