‘Corrupt’ top deputy denies ordering youngster’s arrest

Santo Domingo.- Chamber of Deputies president, Radhamés Camacho, on Mon. denied that he ordered the arrest of a young man who yelled “corrupt” at him in Santo Domingo’s Quisqueya Stadium last Sunday.

The man, Máximo Eladio Romero, was released yesterday.

Camacho regretted the incident and said that those who know him know that he doesn’t behave that way.

The legislator did label the incident which has drawn wide rebuke, as a “verbal assault.”
