Santo Domingo.- In its effort to promote strategies that boost private investment to jump-start the country’s economy, the Economic and Social Development Council of Santo Domingo (Codessd) received the endorsement of the National Business Council (Conep) for the 2019-2021 term.
“Greater Santo Domingo has an enormous potential that has not been exploited,” said Codessd President Jonathan Cabrera, who told EFE that its integral development is everyone’s responsibility and that it is they, as an institution, who are taking the first steps so residents understand that “your location may be different,” the entity said in a statement.
In addition to addressing the pressing issues on development strategies of Greater Santo Domingo, Codessd managers and Conep executives met to update the legal framework to maintain and increase foreign direct investment, support for the Territorial Planning bill was also analyzed and the efforts to unify criteria on permits in the city councils.
