USAID to help bolster hapless Accounts Chamber

Santo Domingo.- The Accounts Chamber of the Dominican Republic (CCRD) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on Mon. signed a MOU, within the framework of the program to strengthen the overseer’s procedures and human resource training.

The memo was signed by CCRD president, Hugo Álvarez and Arthur Brown, director of the USAID mission in the Dominican Republic.

The document cites, among its objectives, “to increase the agility and quality of the administrative and technical processes required for the proper functioning” of the CCRD, one of the most ridiculed govt. agencies.

It also seeks to “develop a comprehensive policy of recruitment, promotion and development of human resources, to ensure the technical capacity and quality required by the institution for the best performance of its functions
